Since Doug took office in 2003, the Tooele County Surveying Department:
☑ Now performs a rigorous boundary verification process to help ensure that individual private property rights are protected.
☑ Is a crucial leader in the reestablishment and documentation of many key roads including Silver Avenue (Stockton) and Mountain View Road (Lake Point).
☑ Is a leader in promoting the standardization of review procedures for new subdivisions.
☑ Has partnered with the Town of Ophir to retrace and monument the original 1873 Plat of Ophir and is currently having it re-mapped to help settle uncertain lot and block boundaries.
☑ Created an optimized ground-based coordinate system for each community in the county that will stabilize land boundaries to help prevent property disputes and protect land owners from additional costs.
